Regulatory documents and decisions

Filings, correspondence and decisions issued in the regulatory process are published here once they exist. No document is summarised or characterised before it is published in full.

Accreditation policy

The Institute is not accredited by any accrediting agency recognised by the United States Department of Education. It does not describe itself as accredited, recognised, approved or licensed, and it will not do so unless and until such a status is formally granted and documented on this page. Any exemption or approval that may be granted by the Florida Commission for Independent Education is a matter of state regulatory status; it is not academic accreditation and is not a governmental endorsement of the Institute or its programs.

Nature of the programs

The programs of the Institute are religious in character and are directed to study within the Catholic tradition. Prospective students should not assume that credits, certificates or degrees issued by the Institute will be accepted by other institutions, licensing boards or employers, and should verify acceptance directly with the receiving body before enrolling.

Statement of institutional independence

The Institute is an independent civil institution. Its name, including the word "Pontifical", does not indicate and must not be understood as indicating any recognition, approval, mandate, charter or affiliation of any kind from the Holy See, the Roman Curia, the Vatican or any diocese, religious order or ecclesiastical authority. The Institute speaks only for itself.
